ARGENTINE SUPPORT FOR THE SAIGON TANGO FESTIVAL IN HO CHI MINH CITY
December 2015. The “Saigon Tango Festival” was held in Ho Chi Minh City from December 2-6. The event was arranged by the private institution Ta.Tango, which has been bringing together tango enthusiasts from the south of Vietnam for over eight years.
Argentine Ambassador Claudio Gutiérrez attended and provided institutional support to this significant event. He also brought bottles of Argentine wine to be served to the guests.

LECTURE ON ARGENTINA AT THE DEPARTMENT OF SPANISH LINGUISTICS IN HO CHI MINH CITY
December 2015. The Argentine Embassy delivered a lecture on Argentina for teachers and over 100 students from various levels at the Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Spanish Linguists, on December 4.
Plenty of information on Argentina’s geography, history, culture, society, economy, cuisine, tourism and sports was relayed during the lecture, which was delivered by Embassy’s diplomat Juan Pablo Volken.

THIRD ROAMING CONSULATE IN HO CHI MINH CITY
December 2015. The third roaming consulate scheduled for 2015 took place on Friday, December 4 in Ho Chi Minh City.
This activity aims to facilitate the realization of consular services to Argentine residents in the south of Vietnam, saving them from having to travel to Hanoi.
The roaming consulate is also used to discuss visa-related inquiries as well as to arrange visits to local authorities.

ARGENTINE PARTICIPATION AT THE ANNUAL HIWC CHARITY BAZAAR IN HANOI
November 2015. The Argentine Embassy joined the Hola Hanoi stand at the Hanoi International Women's Club (HIWC) Annual Charity Bazaar, which took place on Saturday, November 28 at Hanoi’s St. Paul International School. Hola Hanoi is a group consisting of expatriates from Latin America, the Caribbean and Spain.
The Embassy donated Argentine empanadas and wines, which were sold for charity. The stand raised USD 1,100.

November 2015. A new Argentine Film Festival took place from November 26-27 at Cinemathéque in Hanoi.
Three movies were screened: the comedy “Vynil days” by director Gabriel Nesci as well as dramas “Natural Sciences” and “Tracks to go back home” by directors Matías Lucchesi and Jazmín Stuart respectively.

November 2015. An Argentine Night in Hanoi took place on November 23 at Hanoi’s Sheraton Hotel. The event, aimed at sampling Argentine beef and wines, was arranged by the Argentine Embassy.
Over 300 guests who attended the event were treated to delicious Argentine beef in various forms of preparation: Argentine, Vietnamese and fusion.
People could witness the cooking of the beef on parrillas (grills) under the coordination of the Argentine chef Pedro Lambertini.
