OCT 2016 | Argentine movie screened at the Latin American Film Festival
Nine movies from different Latin American countries were screened at the 4th Latin American Film Festival, which took place from 24 to 29.10.16 at the National Cinema Centre in Hanoi.
The acclaimed Argentine romantic comedy “No Kids” by director Ariel Winograd was among the screened films, introduced by the Argentine Embassy.
Families, youngsters and children enjoyed the film, which was premiered in 2015 in Argentina.
Business and Investment Forum at Buenos Aires
September 2016. A Business and Investment Forum was held from 12 to 15.9.16 at the Kirchner Cultural Centre (KCC) in Buenos Aires. The Argentine government arranged this mega event aiming to draw foreign investment into Argentina.
Representatives of more than 100 global companies attended the Forum, as well as President Mauricio Macri, ministers, governors, economists, analysts, among others.

Lecture on Argentina at the Spanish Department at HANU
September 2016. Juan Pablo Volken from the Argentine Embassy in Vietnam delivered a lecture about Argentina to students from different grades at the Spanish Department at the Hanoi University (HANU).
The lecture included thorough information about Argentina’s geography, history, political system, economy, culture, cuisine and sports. A Q&A contest was also held and prized were handed to the winners.

Argentine Embassy support to Viet Pride
August 2016. The Argentine Embassy in Vietnam took part at the fifth edition of Viet Pride from 17 to 21.8.16. Viet Pride is an annual event held by the Vietnamese LGTB community since 2012 which aims to celebrate their identity and love regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity.
On Wednesday 17 at Goethe Institute in Hanoi, the Argentine Embassy screened “Plan B”, an acclaimed Argentine film directed by Marco Berger which touches upon a LGTB love story.
Celebration of the Argentine independence declaration bicentennial
July 2016. Several activities were held across the Argentine territory from 8 to 10.7.16 to mark the bicentennial of the Argentine independence declaration, which took place on 9.7.1816.
The celebration started on 8.7 in Tucumán, outside the historical “Tucumán House”, where independence was declared 200 years ago, and it continued on 9 and 10.7 in Buenos Aires and other cities, where military parades were the main highlight.

Farewell from Vietnamese President to Argentine Ambassador
June 2016. On June 22, the Argentine Ambassador to Vietnam Claudio Gutiérrez held a meeting with Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang, who warmly bid farewell to the Argentine representative only a few days before the end of his term in Vietnam.

Fellowship gathering with Argentine community in Ho Chi Minh City
May 2016. On May 27, the Argentine Ambassador to Vietnam Claudio Gutiérrez hosted a fellowship dinner with the Argentine resident community in Ho Chi Minh City.
The meeting, informal, took place at the home of the Argentine citizen Juliana Montani, who graciously offered the meeting place.

May 2016. Wines of Argentina (WofA) hosted a tasting of a broad range of Argentine wines at Majestic Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City on May 17.
The Argentine Embassy supported the arrangement of the event, which gathered representatives of around 20 Argentine wineries seeking to export their wines into Vietnam.
